Simon is a Chartered Accountant and has over 20 years’ experience as a finance professional. Having started out and qualified at Ernst & Young (now EY) where he worked as an auditor within the Financial Services department and then briefly in Transaction Services, he subsequently worked across a number of industries including hospitality and FMCG.
Previous roles include Head of Finance at Heart with Smart Group, the largest restaurant franchise operator in the UK, where he oversaw all aspects of capital investment assessment, working capital management, commercial finance and operational performance monitoring and improvement. Simon also has a significant amount of experience of the corporate finance and private equity industries having worked within the M&A team at Hawkpoint Partners (now Canaccord Genuity), a mid-market transaction, debt and restructuring advisory firm.
Simon joined CCL as the Finance Director in November 2022 and is responsible for all financial matters and supporting the wider executive, sales and operational teams in delivery of the Group’s growth strategy.
