More cell site analysis insight, courtesy of a webinar hosted by the Forensic Capability Network (FCN) featuring our own Matt Tart
In an earlier blog we highlighted one of the stand-out teams here at CCL – our cell site analysis unit – and promised to share some of the insights and views of this passionate group of experts. Because as well as serving the criminal justice system, there’s also a real desire to serve cell site analysis itself, in terms of its development and maturity as a discipline and how it needs to evolve as a full-on forensic practice.
Last time we shared some useful further reading – now it’s some fascinating further watching, courtesy of the Forensic Capability Network. (FCN)
Almost 400 people from across law enforcement, academia and the private sector joined an FCN-hosted webinar late last year, to look at Opinion Evidence in Cell Site Analysis.
Representatives from 39 forces in England and Wales, along with colleagues from colleges and universities and private sector providers came together to hear keynote presentations from Dr Gillian Tully, Forensic Science Regulator, and our own Principal Expert, Matt Tart, and to take part in a follow- on Q&A session.
The event covered the challenges in Cell Site Analysis, existing support and how, together, all parties might better tackle the issues in future.
