CCL launches new service to increase digital forensic capacity overnight

CCL's new digital forensics service, Backlog Management, comes at just the right time for those needing to significantly increase their digital forensic capacity and clear the growing backlogs of exhibits awaiting examination.

CCL Solutions Group has launched a new digital forensics service, Backlog Management.

Backlog Management has been designed for those needing to significantly increase their digital forensic capacity to clear backlogs of exhibits awaiting examination. CCL’s Digital Forensics unit is the largest ISO 17025 accredited facility in Europe with 80+ analysts and its scale and scope make this ‘rapid remediation’ solution both feasible and affordable.

Director of Operations Darren Powney explains the thinking behind the new service:

“Unfortunately for many police forces and law enforcement agencies, backlogs of digital forensic work are an uncomfortable reality. Operational pressures, resourcing issues, budgetary constraints, and more recently the complications of Covid, these are all conspiring against timely processing; and as the works keeps coming in, it can be extremely difficult to get on top of the situation. The bigger the backlog, the bigger the risk obviously, so we see the new service as an excellent opportunity for clients to take back control.”

CCL promises to tackle ‘large volumes in short timeframes’, applying a transparent cost model at the outset to help establish cost certainty. There’s no compromise on quality and defensibility, with all work conducted to ISO standards across PC and mobile forensics.
